Can I get some Help from someone that works for Chevy / GM
If I have a part that I want installed "exhaust and Intercooler or such" could they install the parts and still have warranty for the vehicle but not necessarly the items installed? I wouldn't care about the products installed being covered under warranty but still would liek the rest of the car covered.
Just a question. I'm tempted to have them install my parts if they would or could do that for me.

If I could have them install my parts and still keep the warranty for the rest of the vehicle, I would do that in a heart beat. Would I have to work something out with my service advisor or would it just be a waste of time?
Parts install
Refer back to what ChevyMgr said. Most dealerships I've encountered will only install parts they sell. It's has to do with the the warrarty of those parts as well as the vehicle. I've delt with a few dealerships that have an OEM and aftermarket performance bus. They are more flexable.

You can search the TSB thread for all the bulletins on voiding warranties due to any accessory add ons. It really comes down to what the dealer wants to look the other way on. But if GM knows you added/changed/modified any part or a dealer reports to GM about the mods they could void the warranties on affected components.
We had a diesel truck come in with a programmer. My GM rep was here that day. He saw the programmer on the dash. Now when you look this VIN up the warranties for the engine, transmission, differential and axles have been voided. Any dealer he goes to will see this.
Like I said it depends on the dealership and bad luck/karma.
