Yeah Bat: been thinking hard about making the hood scoop functional, and plumbing into the airbox, kinda like you did. Probably will end up going that route. I just did something quick and easy, mainly to see if it would throw a code, before I went Apeshi*. My hood already has six holes in it, from the scoop, so might as well put another "Big" hole in her, and seal it to the airbox.
That would have to be a even better deal than I have now. "Moon"

The Intake Air Temp as it goes into the motor is what counts! Nothing else!

Without offering criticism of various ideas, has anyone actually measured or logged air temps going into the motor?

"Rocket Science" rules..... hunches and BS don't!

Are you asking for a quantifiable answer?

My IAT2 is below (1-3 degrees) or at ambient temps, IAT is at ambient temps while cruzing , But goes up during fly by driving .
IAT 2 will go up if i'm sitting in traffic, And will go down very quickley once i start moving again. Per the aeroforce gauges.

The CGS unit i installed for 48 hours which locates the filter behind the headlight area, lost boost and raised temps.

Seems like anything will void your warranty these days. Just take it off if you have to go in for service.
