Exactly. That's the most obnoxious sound imaginable, aside from perhaps Hillary Clinton.

Ricer heaven.

Typically you can either buy a cutout size to just slip over your stock pipe and clamp it tightly on. Or you can weld/have it welded in.

Have you ever heard it on these cars? I have heard it one mine, not cutout but no exhaust, and it's not ricer heaven, same with a VW.

Well thats ok. If you dont like it. No biggie if it works for me then great if it dont great. But its just a push of a button and its open or closed. I dont see how it wont increase my H/P. And its only for me at the track. Thanks for looking at the post and for those interested it will happen when I return from Puerto Rico in Dec. unless Lady3bglover gets it installed before I get home

Eric, where do you plan on dumping the exhaust out (bottom, side, rear)?

These motors are 4 bangers....but dont forget they have turbos. Turbo 4s will growl with the best of them. ever heard a 1st/2nd gen turbo eclipse?

A Ducati will always sound like a Ducati. A boxter motor (ala WRX, most Porsches, etc.) will always sound like a boxter. An F1... and so on.

There is only one flaw here, well there is probably more but go with me. The boxster motor is a "4 banger". So saying 4 bangers will always sound like 4 bangers is not entirely true. Granted it's a Flat 4, or H4, verses an I4, but it's still a 4.

Hence my distinction.

Umm, piped Subies sound better than any LSX I have ever heard. SRT-4's sound good dumped. I hate Hondas, but I have even heard a Honda Civic sound like a damn V8 because it was a built turbo. All four cylinders and exhaust systems are not created equal.
