Your thoughts on Aluminized steel or Stainless steel exhaust which way would you go and why, I need to make my mind up by Mon.

Stanless looks alot better and won't rust. But usually cost more than Aluminized.

 

Cost isn't an issue, muffler, resinator and cat will be stainless, pipeing is my only concern,
they told me stainless was needed more in the mid west where salt is used on the roads, in Wa we don't use salt

 

Just the condensation inside can rot a aluminized exhaust out in 5 years or less in some areas.

Stainless is the only way to go unless your selling the car.

There are two kinds of stainless. The high grade that can or may be polished and the low grade that is like the factory stock. One has more nickle to make it shine up.

The lower grade may not look as nice but is cheaper and will last as long. The Fiero exhaust my car came with is 25 years old and is still solid and like new.

Make sure to use stainless clamps when installing.

 

I used to work for Stainlessworks in Cleveland. There's no comparison between SS and aluminized. Moreover, SS, because of its superior strength, can be mandrel bent in thinner gauges resulting in an overall lighter exhaust.
