Finally..
I don't profess to be good at it yet. I try to give my input in the hopes that more knowledgable folks will curb me if I am misguided. If you were in Norcal, I'd have no problem logging it for you. I have been trying to somewhat emulate the GM tune and I did experience the loss of boost with no CEL for one key-turn.
Wonder if they installed the proper software with upgrade?
As far as the boost issue dropping to 9lbs as you stated earlier. Sounds like you have a leak around one of the o-rings on the new bosch sensors.
OK. Just trying to help here. If you're having a boost issue like you descibed in your earlier post, then a re-reflash probably won't help. If it initial boosted up to 18-19,then the reflash was good. Losing the boost later or dropping to 9 lbs as you said sounds like a leak in the system.
FWIW. Mine did the same thing. Boosted 18 on the way home from dealer. 5 miles from home, started loosing boost. Drove back to dealer and every time it tried to boost it would go to 4-5 lbs then fall on it's face. The tech looked at it and said the bottom sensor was not seated good. He pulled the sensor checked the o-ring and reinstalled. Has been fine since. 3 months.
Now. About boost pressure. Others claim 21-24. I have only seen 18-19. I made a few calls to some folks that would know. In short I was told that the 18-19 was fine. It's not how much boost, but how much power you get from the GMTU. If the car gets the power with 18-19 lbs, then thats what you'll get. Many factors come into play such as altitude, weather, air quality, etc. Maybe some of the latest upgrades have been tuned down a little by the GM reflash. Not sure. Just guessing here.
So, if you want to have it re-reflashed go ahead. BUT, I would advise looking at the sensors and/or o-rings just to be sure.
Let us know what you find out. I can always learn something new.

When they check the o-ring on the sensor, also have them check this.
When they install the upgrade a lot of times the tech ham handed cracks the nipple. Mine went in three times for this and they blamed the accuator and said it was back ordered for the next 10 years, until I made them throw some silicon glue on it. It ran fine for a few hourse, so they changed the hose and nipple.

Good info russruth. Something to look at.
One question though. Why did the tech break this? In doing the upgrade, the tech shouldn't be working anywhere near this part. Makes me wonder how and why he was messing around there.
