2.0L Performance Tech 260hp (235hp auto) Turbocharged SS tuner version. 260 lb-ft of torque

Is FULL exhaust needed for HP increase or just the DP?

there will be about 1" between the downpipe and catback on the auto iirc. the 5spd it will bolt right up but the auto is placed a little differently in the bay. you could get them to add an extra inch on possibly since you'll be ordering directly from mpx.

With Turbo cars a good DP does a lot. IF noise is a concern, then get a Electric cut out in there and uncap when you need it and let it run through the stock exhuast to keep the noise down.

MOST 4 cyl after market exhaust tend to be very friendly as well so there will be some decisions that need to be made.

Well, called Modern Performance and they said they cannot add a inch on the DP for me. I asked them why because i thought they custom made their products and the guy acted like it was impossible.

Modern Performance get's a thumbs down from me, I'll never recommend or order anything from them due to them also ignoring my emails for 2 weeks ( i sent two 2 different ways)

Guess i'll have to keep the stock DP on due to people wanting to produce DP's that fit for the auto's

Generally you cannot weld cast iron, most times you needs to be made.

Well i called Dejon and the guy said he can weld in a extra inch no problem. The only problem is they offer only a cattless one and it's the same price as most peoples catted ones.

Wish i knew for sure there is going to be a 1" gap if i get a 5 speed ones cause alot of people here and saying there will be and others say they isn't and theirs bolted fine.

*sigh*

I think what your running into is a situation where a exhaust shop can help you but when it comes to emission laws it becomes very grey and some will not work on a car w/o there being a CAT. OR the job does not pay well enough to justify the price as it is a custom peices most times and its a one-off job.

my advice??? get the full down pipe with no cats all the way back. if your state does not do visual inspections, you are FINE. you speak as though u want all the power you can get from the exhaust. this is the way to go. save your stock exhaust DO NOT SELL IT OR THROW IT OUT!!! keep it incase u need it. if u half azz, expect half azz results. catted dp, or catless dp with a cat back exhaust, imo are a waste. turbo cars need to breath. less restriction=more power.

good point screamin,my muffler shop is a motorhead and races too,so it's all good. boosted,be prepared to bolt this thing up yourself if u can't find a shop to do it. assuming u go catless.
