from the gm media kit spreadsheet,

I saw
221 lb-ft engine torque
315 lb-ft gearbox torque

What is the difference anyway?

2008 GME Sweden F35 ( MU3 ) 102207
Type: transverse front wheel drive, five-speed manual transaxle ( optional with limited slip differential )
Engine range: 2.0L I-4 turbocharged (LNF)
Maximum engine torque: 260 lb-ft ( 353 Nm)
Maximum gearbox torque: 260 lb-ft ( 353 Nm)

Do you know if the specs for these transmissions are really accurate?
I know I will keep my factory warranty, but still would like to know for after the 100,000 miles is up.

Thanks in advance,

The auto specs include the torque multipication of the torque converter, which is in front of the transmission and multiplys the engine torque to the transmission at start off speeds. Since the torque applied to the trans is multiplied, the torque from the engine must be reduced to keep transmission loads at start to the rated value.
Notice the manual has 260 for both engine and trans. The auto has a reduced 221 for the engine, which after torque converter is around 315 (325 on the chart I saw) applied to the transmission.

Thanks Eric for showing off my box. Here is a better picture. Yeah the dyno didnt go that well. I think I have an issue with the wastegate rod, butnot sure. I need to go back and remeasure it when its cold.
