GM shows the love. 290hp, 340ftlb upgrade for $650
I thought somewhere on this site I remember seeeing pics of the modification that needed to be done to the stage kit. I had mine installed and my turbo keeps cutting out....several times in the past few days. Took it to dealer today, said it was a leak in the seal of an o-ring. Tightened it my check engine light went off and I was on my way. But it happened again later in the day and the check engine light is back on, so looks like another trip to the dealer tomorrow.

• The install of the map sensor is easy. The orange/black wire for the map, They say it has a different color. That issue is easlily fixed by the elimination of wires.
• The next step is the intake air psi and temp sensor on the lower pipe.
• The pitures on the instructions that ship with the kit shows the install for a Pontiac Solstice and this is incorrect for the HHR.
• For revised documentation and installation instructions specific to the Chevrolet HHR, GM dealers can go to: http://service-gm-forum.com/techforu...howtopic=27213
• Use a razor blade and cut the back notch (boss) off the sensor. This will work best unless you want to spend a few extra minutes pulling the pipe out.
• The kit instructions say that all the "pin terminals" are correct for both however, this is not the case.
• Review GM doc# 1913913 for the Pontiac Solistice and GM doc# 1910765 for the HHR. When you compare the schmatics on both the HHR and the Solstice you will see differences in the connections.
• You will find that the map and intake psi sensor on the Solistice share the 5vref and grd. Additionally on the Solistice the grey wire is the 5vref and the tan is the grd. This is not so on the HHR and when connected per the shipped instructions in the kit, the HHR engine will not start. GM doc# 1910765 shows that the tan wire is the 5vref and the grey wire is the grd and when connected accordingly the car will start immediatly.

The instructions are correct with the pin# to Pin# HHR SS wire colors are different than the Solstice so ignor the colors. The HHR SS service manual is not correct in the connector end views for the MAP and TMAP connectors. Changes have been submitted. Best advice is to wire per the pin #'s in the instuctions.
Still waiting to hear back from the dealer what's going on. Gave them all the info from this site concerning the stage kit install. Since it happened 1 time before the upgrade they need to determine what caused this Turbo cut out issue. In talking to the tech he was thinking it may be a wastgate problem? Hopefully find out later today and I'll be able to pick it up. Haven't had much of a chance to play with the upgrade since it was installed last Sat. Been back to the dealer twice since then.
