Who has had this installed?

I just got off the phone with my dealership as I wanted to schedule an appointment for the brake fix, but when I asked about the turbo upgrade I was told it is not available yet and will not be until mid-end march '09. I thought I read that some have had it installed by their dealers already. I gave them the part number of 19212670 and they said that is the correct part but it was not available. I guess I can wait another month, but I don't wanna. I need more HP because I feel the need....the need for speed.

The kit is on nationwide back order. Most of the back ordered parts should be filled late this week or early next week.

I called my dealer today to get a price and a time frame of delivery. They put me on hold for several minutes. When they came back, they said that their books only show a kit for the 09 Cobalt and Saturn, etc. but no HHR-SS I said there is one for the 08 HHR-SS. I was put on hold again. Parts guy comes back on and says I can't find anything and that he would have to call GM.

I did that and from what I read the part number is the same for the 09's but the programming is different. I am bringing this in to show my dealer when I get the vacuum pump installed to fix the brake issue

Maybe then they will know what I am talking about. I think my dealer's service department is a bit confused. Wouldn't be the first time since I had to bring the TSB in for the brake issue when I first experienced it months ago and when I bought the car they had no idea what the P.A.L was for my iPod and I had to tell them about that too.

The kit has not been released for '09 models yet. I will post as soon as I know. It will be soon and I will be one of the first to know.

I am wondering if the new kits on BO are held up till the 09 approval is given. I know the one place says this week but I have had several others tell me it will be closer to the 21st before they will be available.

When I dropped my HHR off today for the break fix I stopped in the parts dept. He called GM on this and had them on speaker phone and they told him April 2nd and they are not accepting any new orders before then. So I will be there first thing in the Morning on April 2nd to order mine.
