Now that I finally have mine fixed it is definately worth it. Like others probably said the wiring is usually the issue. It took me several tries and a few dealerships to get mine fixed but a good solder job makes a world of difference.

That is just it the key is a proper install. Too bad so many dealers just can learn to crimp the wires with the proper tools.

Had my kit installed weeks after it was released. Had a problem with the connectors so the dealer soldered them based on a recommendation from GM. 42,000 miles later and not a single problem. As others have said, I would do it over in a minute. The stage kit was the single best investment I made for this car.

For those still having issues with their kit I hope you get the problems corrected so that you can get back to enjoying your car.

Anyone explain how the K&N filter can cause problem. I havent had a problem other than my pinging issues dues to it going way past normal boost. No check engine light. I think mine is a mechanical problem.

How do I control the boost or fix it?

More Air Flow into the system that the computer recognizes as too much?

on a turbo, no more air is going to pass thru then what the turbo is actually using...so no
... non turbo where normal atmospheric air press is used, maybe. but...if the cel is thrown at part throttle what happens at full throttle( with even more air?)? If theres none to 1 0r 2 hp to be gained, just how much of a difference did it make? If its that sensitive then a simple thing like a sudden temp change should also throw a code as denser air would be present, no? And..since no 2 air cleaners flow alike, why do not other filter brands have this problem? Read here that the Napa gold flowed just as good as the K&N..My thinking is the K N is 'changing' the flow pattern across the sensor, not necessarily allowing more air flow...as a test...run a short burst with no filter and see if it throws a code!( taking care where you do it).theres no restriction then..max air..even more then a K N. ( all filters have some restriction, a piece of screen will too)
