Jumper Harness

The mating connectors to the production sensors have never been produced. I know people that have made them from the old sensors and then used that to make a jumper harness

Is that true for both sensors?

3-Way F SSC Series, Sealed (BK) who makes this one?
Now that would have been a great idea!
Too bad they don't make the male ends. I looked at my old sensors and cutting them up to make a male plug would really be messy.

I haven't given up yet, I have the equipment and the technology.... I just need a demand.

Just think if they were made and GM included them in the stage kits instead of the connector with pigtails. How many kits have they sold so far..... ?

Just remembered when I got mine back they left the org sensors in the box on the pass floor..they cut the ends off right up to the sensors..making them unusable.....I thought this was odd..since I paid for them, why would they do that? Wanted to keep them for such a day if ever wanting to return to stock...

You are right, GM should have put the "adapters" in with both ends on each, would have made the install much easier and non of this crimp vs solder business would have ever been an issue. I believe the problem is that the kits are currently universal, just different tunes for each application. If they had made the adapters, there would be several different versions, which adds cost to them.... and then us. In hind site, at least with the HHR, would have been an overall savings do to the extra labor required. GM could also offer a sensor without the post for the HHR kit.

Overall, I am so happy with the upgrade, those are minor issues.

An adapter is the best solution if you can get both connectors, but, as More_Torque_More_HP said and I have come to find out no one makes the mating connector for the production sensor end. A tool/mold could be made to replicate that end but it isn't cost effective on a small scale. As I said I have access to the equipment and the technology to make those connectors but if the usage isn't high enough it’s a losing proposition.

As you mentioned, even if the kit is universal if the connectors are the same for the other vehicles but the wiring is different, the answer is simple, use a different PN and make the wiring changes accordingly. An adapter would certainly save time on the install and it would alleviate the wiring mistakes that we have all seen, but from GM’s prospective this is a modification that by choice, the end user, us, is paying for, not them. At the moment they have bigger issues to resolve.
