Very nice. The washers for the intercooler are meant to go between the intercooler mounting bracket and the crashbar which is the big metal bumper looking thing directly above intercooler. He would've had to do about 30 min more work because he would've had to remove the entire front facia. They can also cut some of the rubber coupler off lower charge pipe to push the pipe even further onto intercooler. I would advise putting a blob of grease on the harness wires and drive it around for a while to see if the grease transfers to the AC unit.

I would say you're going to need more clearance. Moving the IC, or a bracket to push or hold the piping off the compressor. It's your choice on which one you do.
Here's a pic of mine that shows the clearance I have. No contact problems with this.

Thanks for the info. I guess we'll see if it's enough. He did also mention taking some length to slide the pipe on more. I'll mention the IC shim the proper way again and see if I can set something up just to be safe

Yeah its raining here now! I was pissed when it started! It really is unreal. I know there are a few different things to do for clearance and the sensor looks like it has about as much as your bracket gave you SS fan so we'll see what happens but I will mention it to them. At some point I'll get it back in to check out how it's doing and do the proper IC move if needed.

This is a great way to do it also but I doubt the auto SS could gain that clearance by simply pushing pipe forward. Our 5sp have more real-estate to work with in front of the engine.

Thanks. Didn't realize there was a difference between the 2 as far as real estate goes. I guess I just assumed the lower charge pipe was mounted the same way/place.

The lower charge pipe is mounted the same but the engine is mounted further forward to make way for the auto trans which is also why the auto and 5sp engine mounts are different. This is why I would always suggest flipping the sensor with longer lower radiator brackets. Best way to make clearance for the auto hands down.

I had a buddy press and pump the pedal while I watched the lower sensor with my extended flashlight. The engine torqued some but didn't come close. I don't know how that relates to the stress of the engine when the tires are rolling but it makes me feel a bit better lol
