still haven't heard anything from him. i talked with zzp tho and they are developing a different stg2 trans than what they previously had. no word on pricing or when it will be out tho

I might just go ahead and do wiseco pistons, zzp rods, new bearings, and arp head studs.....maybe some zzp balance shafts and valvesprings too...dunno....then maybe a fueling mod i found a spare trans that i may pick up as well "just in case"

decisions....decisions

I hear ya man. I definitely can't wait to see how this all turns out. I look forward to doing a full turbo swap in the future myself.

So, I assume you are getting the full kit from these guys. Based on what's included in the kit, it looks like you have the BOV, the downpipe, and many other pieces as well as HPTuners to tune for it. Why would you not just pick up the turbo and a few odd pieces, then just piece it together? It seems like it would be much cheaper route. Is there a downside to that I don't see in my limited knowlege?

a gtx series turbo alone is almost $2000, then the manifold, downpipe, wastegate, lines, fittings, gaskets, downpipe wrap....less hassle then having someone fab up stuff. and i have upper and lower pipe with bov and intercooler already

no the o2 housing won't bolt up so a downpipe in a turbo kit totally replaces that o2 housing all the way down to the actual downpipe.

gtx turbos don't include an exhaust housing, those are purchased seperately. so add a few hundred onto the 1399. to have a downpipe made will run about 400-500 and their manifold is complete sex and its 500....so the $$$'s start adding up fast. plus a proven kit and proven design are worth some $$$ itself
