"I have no problems with my SS with the ST1"

I own 7 vehicles and belong to different sites like this in order to obtain information on them.

All of the other sites have similar posts to this one; people posting issues so that others can be aware of possible problems; not to say that they happen to EVERY VEHICLE.

If that were the case, I'd have to sell my house just to fix all of my 7 unreliable vehicles.

Just like the daily news, only the issues are posted to these sites. You rarely see a thread like "I have no problems with my car".

Anyway, back on topic.

For a little over $300 this is a nice option, just wanted to throw it out there.

I'm really interested in this... how much faster does it feel? It really seems like the stock ECU is holding back a lot of power sometimes!

I'm interested now too. As for the warranty, 10K more miles and it's up anyway. Just in time for Christmas.

It makes a HUGE difference. My friend owns a dyno, i will try to jump on one afternoon to get some numbers. it does not seem to me to have the issues the stage 1 has with the surges and power drop off described here as being normal with the stage 1: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/2-0l-performance-tech-46/boost-level-stage-kit-automatic-24417/ I am not experiencing any of those problems.

also, it increases the speed and the firmness of the shifts, increases the redline and that makes almost as much of a difference in performance as the power increase does. that was another big + that swayed me in the direction of the cortex tuner. it also comes with a 2 year powertrain warranty as well. You would not believe how nice the transmission shifts now, it is like a different transmission. it is really fast and smooth.

you also get the advanced tune ( where you can adjust things how you like) and an economy tune for max mpg.

it has some really cool features on the tuner that datalogs performance data as well.

They are not tolerated. If it continues, bans and or suspensions are in order.

Here is what I did, lol:

To be honest i was afraid to go with the gm tune. that sounds crazy but did you see that poll, over 40% of the people that had the gm stage upgrade had to go back multiple times to get it fixed and then they had issues a few months down the road with power loss, etc. That is pathetic.

here is what I did, got a steal on it.

i had a coupon for $25 off at autoanything in my email. you can google it and find them easy.
when you get the coupon, click on it and go to autoanything.com and add the tuner to your cart.

then do this:

go to bing.com and search superchips cortex and it will bring up a link for 8% off at autoanything.com

click it and it brings you back to autoanything.com

check out and you will get your $25 off and your 8% off.

now, do a google for superchips cortex, click on shopping and you will find it for $12 or so cheaper at a truck store. Now copy that link, go to your email and reply to your receipt from autoanything and paste the link in the email and tell them you found it cheaper from that place.

autoanything will price match that for another $12 or what ever it was off.

Now you got it for a little over $300 lol.

I just lucked out and found all that **** when i was searching around for mine.

I have a 15% off coupon with free shipping from autoanything.com in my email right now if you want it. That would make it around $322 shipped and would be easy.

I am also scared of the Stage 1 tune..........besides the price being all over the place and iffy installations.........My dealer has done one and I ask him about it, and he said they don't like the kit.......said Chevy should provide a pre made harness, the don't like cutting and splicing.......and neither do I.
OH Well, I am not sure what I am going to do right now.........
