I had the same problem after replacing my thermostat. I had a gurgling sound in the dash starting cold and other random times as well. You need to bleed the air out of your cooling system to fix this which is very easy. Heres the steps:
-With the car cold remove the radiator cap. (make sure the engine is cold so you don't get sprayed with scalding water!)
-Turn the heater on HOT , air can get caught in the heater system too.. (you do not have to run the fans)
-Start the car and let it idle and warm up. This will probably take at least 10-15 minutes. You can tell when its warmed up because the coolant in the radiator will start moving , this is because the thermostat is open circulating the coolant through the engine. (I cant remember what temp that happens at but a forum search should tell you)
-During this time , you will probably see the coolant level in the radiator drop , this is because the air bubbles are coming out! You might even see the bubbles burping out.
-Top off the radiator if the coolant level drops. I recommend distilled water but its not going to end the world if you use tap..
-Do this until the coolant level stops dropping. During this time I carefully raised the RPMS slightly to 2000RPMs at times to try help motivate the remaining air out. DO NOT REV THE ENGINE , this will spray coolant all over the place.
-Be patient , the more air you get out the better. Don't forget to fill the coolant tank up to the line as well.
Good luck.

@ Hillsdale, it's soft but I heard it. It sounds like there's backpressure in the turbo (if that sounds right?) so instead of the one big "pssh" we get when the BOV dumps, he's getting a quick set of "pssh, pssh, pssh" when his BOV is dumping between shifts; I hope that makes sense! Either way I'd check the BOV as a start, maybe it's stuck open/closed? I'm no expert by far but I hope that pointS you in the right direction JRGHHRSS08.
