Im a part of the T924 family!

Order last week, arrived yesterday, installed today! It is definately worth all the hype! The guys at the shop asked me why I went that muffler and I told them about the recommendations from here and why...they weren't impressed with the sound, but its perfect to me! Not too loud, but definately not stock. Most of the other cars in the shop were boasting fart cans and duals, so it was quiet in comparison. I love how it sounds when I put my foot on it...this is my first mod and now Im an addict (grilles are on the way as we speak)! Check the pics here-

I had mine installed last week and I'm very happy. I didn't want the large folger's coffee can exhaust like the ricers! The IMCO was perfect for what I wanted...

OK, I've read the thread and am convinced that a lot of folks like the sound! But, is the performance noticeably better?
Better gas mileage?
I am interested in more get-go in the midrange. It is only the last 1/3 of pedal travel that really gets me anywhere once at cruising speed ( around 50MPH ).
I have a 2.4 automatic and love it a lot, but better gas mileage and performance are always welcome as long as these quests do not make the car too much louder
I have nerve damage in my ear and often have an earplug in just to cope with life. Loud engines etc are no longer welcome in my world I'll be selling one of my convertibles with the dual exhaust /four carburator setups this summer partly due to its wonderful noise !

I'd like to aspirate the car better with a new intake and muffler if the combo does not add too much to the noise level ( Again, noise welcomed by many, but not necessarily by me ). These mods should lead to better gas mileage AND better performance. I read maybe 4 HP for the exhaust and another 4HP for the intake if I remember correctly.
So, should I go this way? The gains sound subtle, but I'd like to hear from folks who've done the exhaust and/or the intake combo. Much louder? Better MPG? Better performance? This thread is good, but folks seem to mostly talk about the sound.

Honestly, at first I was disapointed that it wasn't louder!! LOL

So you don't have to worry about it being too loud.

I really haven't noticed that much of a performance difference because I changed mine out so quickly.

Plus, I've been having so much fun driving it that my driving style hasn't been the best for MPG's!

I can say though that I get 30+ on the hwy and average 25+ overall. Hope that helps.

Sounds good! The mileage is nice. We average 24- 27MPG and I'd like to get a bit more. I notice it is better when I'm at 50ish MPH and worse when I'm enjoying 70-80 MPH.
I'm sure I'll be a little heavy on the foot too when the mod happens!

Hey, are you going to change the intake as well? The whole aspiratating the engine thing does best with both the intake and exhaust opening up a bit.
I'm going for a different intake if it does not void the warrantee and it does not sound like a garbage disposal on high

What CJ & HHR PNOY said. Looks like the wrong "can" to me.

Best bet: order off that site I posted and wait a few days - it's the real deal...

Best of luck!
