Don't forget that the L-61 in the Cavalier and the one used in the majority of 2.2 equipped HHR's is a different beast. Changes for the 2007+ model years include but aren't limited to......

Gen II Engine Block
Cylinder Head Improvements
New Camshaft Design
E37 Engine Control Module
58X Crankshaft Reluctor Ring
Digital Crank and Cam Sensors
Vented Starter Solenoid
New MAP Sensor
New Intake Manifold Seals
New Oil Filter Element

yeah isnt that the lap?

Thats why getting the right info is hard especially when big sites like summit say its compatible with 2.0, 2.2, but those are not vvt(lsj, l61) like the lap.

heck even comp's website says 2.0, 2.2 and 2.4 ecotec for their cams but when you look at the actual cam card it says L61 only

Nope, the LAP is another variation of the 2.2 Ecotec, it superseded the L-61. HHR's use the earlier L-61 for the 2006 model year, then for 2007 the change was made to the Gen II L-61.

The LAP 2.2 was phased in for the 2009 model year and continued on through the end of production.

They have LNF, LE5 and LSJ cams on their website and that's the only options they show for the Ecotec

843de this actually mentions the change in 2.2 you are talking about.

turbo hearse just wondering if they may have an answer via email being they like to mess around with ecotecs.

comp's selection. It says 2.0 and 2.2 Ecotec

http://www.compperformancegroupstore...e=CHEV464CAM20

actual cam specs for their "turbo application" grind
http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...csid=1079&sb=2

It just says GM Ecotec 2.2

Could be a possibility. I forget if Ryan is the big Ecotec guy or Tim.

I61/lap? I have a 2011, 2.2, auto. Not sure what you are talking about? Can you elaborate. I am considering the Competition Cam 252 for the Eco 2.2.

Thanks
