Good find Jason. I like how they call it an high flow mani for the 2.2L and not just say it's off the 2.4L. This will def be a good mod. So far to date, I've read no probs so far. Easy install.

GM performance sells the 2.4 manifold as a High Output for the 2.2 with an adapter plate. I remeber seeing it in the GM performance parts guide. A few 2.2 eco cavalier guys are running the 2.4 manifold and are VERY happy.

wow!!! well i might as well through a 2.0 ss/sc motor, because i was thinking of putting cobalt stuff, but might as well change the motor

Changing the motor is easier said than done. The ECM for the 2.0 will not cooperate with the BCM for the 2.2 or 2.4 models. Motor swaps with newer GM vehicles are getting harder to do with the extensive electronics being added to the vehicles themselves. Its not like dropping a 454 into a 350 Camaro and having to worry about some custom fabbed mounts and hoses anymore (I know there's more but bear with me...). Even with Hondas all you need are the ECM for the engine you want and wire that into your stock gauges. GM is harder. You're better off trading the HHR for an HHR SS than trying to fit ANY other motor than a 2.2 or 2.4 in there. Even swapping a 2.2 to a 2.4 would have you making a trip to the GM Service department and needing a reflash. But now your VIN plate is obselete and in some states makes the DMV/Emissions people VERY upset. Just be sure you know what you're in for before you try anything.

Turns out that this mod is completely busted, most people are loosing power because of it. The only way this would be worth it is with the 2.4 throttle body and some head work, but as we all know that is impossible.

Most people feel a power loss at low RPMs. It also depends on the mods and how you drive your car. With an intake and a decent exhaust you start gaining power at 3800 rpms and climbs from there. Once mine is on.. (about a week or 2) I will have some comparo vids. Then you will see.
