Question for CGS intake owners

So i bought a used cgs intake(people getting rid of them left and right with the new gmpp intake now availible ) Came with instructions and a visual for a 2.4, But question is how and do you mount the support arm on 2.2? A pic would be really helpful.

I have a CGS instruction sheet. I'll scan it and send it to you.

yeah that was my biggest question, just cuz the bolt that came with the kit looked to be too short. thought that i had to take off the plastic thing that says echotech 2.2 but when taking it off realized that this was the ignitiion and plugs. Thats when i seen the length of the bolts for this. was just making sure though. So a 6 X 50mm bolt with 1" pitch and a flat washer does the Job? Looks like i'll be picking one up tomorrow. Thanks Guys and Gals

Just be careful when mounting it to that coil cover. There have been a few people (including Deb) that had issues where the plastic (on the coil) has cracked and over time, and it will eventually cause starting problems....Also on the 06 2.2L it will need to be tweaked so that it wont hit the hood strut, and rub the hood pad liner, and sit crooked.....

I too made my own support, it mounted to the rear of the engine and had solved all the problems associated with mounting the CGS on an 06 2.2L, but the "HHR God" at the time said it wouldn't work. Well he was wrong! I had it on there 30,000 + miles without a hitch. It worked fine until I changed to another intake setup. If interested.... https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/appearance-modifications-discussions-6/new-bracket-cgs-2-2l-w-pics-4645/

There are a few threads out there on the issue, so choose what works best for you.....Regards....
