My question is can u mount the BorgWarner K04 Turbocharger.on my 2.2 ecotec of the cobalt ss because a buddy of mine is giving me a good deal for

If you mean just "bolt up",then the answer is no... You could in theory bolt that turbo to just about anything, but making it actually work is a whole different story.
Unless you have the fab skills,know how and lots of time and money, you are better off trying to supercharge it.

If you have deep pockets and plenty of time, yeah you can turbocharge anything, is it practical...probably not. As George so aptly pointed out, supercharging a 2.2 is easier to do, not easy by any means....but "easier".

And for Heaven's sake don't do what this guy did.

Ask around some friends of mine wich have the neon srt4 and the other has a eclipse gst and i decided not to go boosted.. maybe supercharged but i don't know how much will that cost

I say go boosted !! Trade the 2.2 for a factory 2.0, and you are done, cept for the , big grin.:

Not a bad price. But you'll also need all the computers(ecm,bcm etc.) the entire wiring harness from a turbo car I believe. Transmission from a turbo car. Motor and trans mounts from a turbo car. Etc,Etc,Etc.Etc.
In other words,you would really need a complete donor car to change from a non turbo to turbo car.
It would work if your car was already a turbo edition. Trying to "convert" it would be a MAJOR operation.
