Supercharge you HHR?
I was wondering when you would jump in and mention that
And, we (the forum members) have been through this discussion .....modify, don't modify....engine changes, no engine changes..... before. Why does it need to be rehashed.
While I don't agree with a lot of the "things" members are doing to their car...,IT'S THEIRS. THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT, and no approval or explanation from or to anyone is necessary.
Hmm... I understood Ern to be referring to his Cobalt blowing up, not his HHR. Anyhow, sure anyone can do whatever they want to their brand new warrantied vehicle, they just need to be aware of the potential risks. That's all I was trying to convey. One thing is for sure, if you put a supercharger on an HHR it will void the entire powertrain warranty from the word go.
Just get an SS. If you can afford the mods, you can afford a new car....and for your 5000, youll get more than just a lot of WAY TOO HOT AIR. The sc' cobalt is toast. Let it die in peace..... Or wait, just get a tc cobalt....now you have no excuse to go down this expensive, and in the end, slow dissapointing raod in an HHr.
i agree with you...The SS is designed to go that fast....With the stage kits coming out this fall the SS will be capable of over 350 hp.... so it will definately go over 180 mph....I mean stock it does 165 with the manual tranny... mine right now is stock and i love it....I go down 394 in minnesota everyday and play with kids in there little decked out hondas lol....but yes a corvette would be nice to have!!!!

I've heard 148-155mph max. I have confirmed 132+ on a flat stretch with tach to spare. Max mph is not a linear relationship to horse power as is confirmed by your fuel economy drop off from 55-80mph.
So 180?? I think not with 350hp..lol
Cosider the c5 vette in my dads garage. 350 hp, 2.87 5 speed gear ratio, 170ish max with a much better drag coefficient
