09 2.2L-2.4L Engine swap.
#11
From what I’ve been reading it pretty much is a plug and play swap. The ECM is one of the only things that needs to be swapped or flashed. The other thing like the water pump, starter, alternator are all the interchangeable, or am I missing something?

Nope not for 2009 2.2 with VVT to 2009 2.4 with VVT.
I believe that’s the confusion with ZZP . They might be thinking pre 2009 2.2 non VVT to 2009 or any 2.4 with VVT.
Like was stated earlier get the ECM, with the 2.4
I have a 2.4 2 inch down pipe and cat back 2 1/4 inch pipes, the K&N FIPK kit is 2.4 oriented.
So, I can imagine your swap being straight forward , but for Oldblue, not so much.

Thanks Everyone,
That’s all I really need to hear, now to actually start the project... haha
I’ll post progress photos as I go along, it’s going to be a slow going however. I know going na with a built is the hard way of doing it, but I’m not a fan of turbo or supercharging...

Since you have an 09 LE8 an E85 engine, I would think a complete swap with an 09-11 LE9 an E85 using the engine, wiring harness, ECM with all the accessories. Would be the closes think to plug and play. Stay away from the LE5 06-08 it is an non E85 motor.
