Here is a "real" T-924:

I finaly measuerd my Imco Muffler. It is 16 1/8" long with the oval being 9 1/4 " wide.
I still think I was sold the correct part as the numbers match up too. I just think I'm more sensitive to sound with my bad ear. No problem putting the old muffler back on. The car has been great since then.
