My PT Cruiser Turbo GT has the Borla exhaust on it. Personally I do not like it. It also has the K&N air cleaner on it. That I don't mind so much but on a trip of even 50 miles it drones a lot.

I did put in some better speakers to try and drown it out and that helps a lot.

I wondered about how to tell because I actually enjoy the sound of whatever exhaust is on my HHR now. I have even received compliments from friends saying they "didn't expect that kind of sound from that car." I will have to look. I never knew you could order a Borla as part of a factory option... I am sure mine is just stock but still sounds pretty darn good!

My 1LT has the GMPP/Borla exhaust and GMPP CAI. Sounds great! Drone isn't too bad - only noticeable on highway driving (especially if you have the cruise control set). The drone sounds great though - no fart can noise.

Get the car tuned after you install it too! After installing the trifecta tune, it got LOWER in pitch. CJ (RIP) mentioned it's because the tune dials everything in, so the car was breathing better.

I've received nothing but compliments on the sound of the LT.

Hmm, doesn't sound like what I'm looking for then...

I have the stock 2LT muffler, which is apparently not a straight through design,

so I guess I'll look for a SS one, either the 2 baffle or 6 baffle version.

I want it quiet, no drone, but nice when stepping on the gas, and since I drive hills and freeways, I can't have any annoying drone.

I'm looking for that wow that sounds awesome when I drive by, but that nice quiet interior.

I can usually achieve this with a dynomax super turbo muffler, which is the quietest muffler they offer, but still it was loud and annoying.

With the K&N intake it sounds better than stock, but you can hear turbulent air coming out of the stock muffler, that doesn't sound great, so better flow and performance from a better muffler should be good!

It's just which one
???

I'd still recommend the GM Borla set up, my Walker setup is quiet, even with my foot into it at 3,500 to 4,000 rpm

Ok, well then I hope to see some videos soon. :)

My driving throughout the day stays in the 2000 - 4000 range all day. 3500 - 4000 on steep hills. And there is a lot of steep hills!

This is a huge payment for me, saved up all year, I just don't want to be disappointed and lose money again. I'm a broke college kid.

I saw a black hhr a while ago with a borla exhaust on YouTube
, and it seems like normal engine noise at regular rpms and then loud at high. See at 15s of the video.
More videos would be awesome, especially of interior rpm range!!!

I expected the same thing Oldblue when I saw the listing for the GMPP/Borla exhaust and then I read the description. It states in there that the Borla insignia is nowhere to be found on the kit since it was sourced by GM as a factory performance part.

On to the pics as requested in "What did you do to your HHR today" thread!
