My personal recommendation would be a GMPP/Borla CatBack system, they do have a sweet sound, and you'll feel in improvement in low end torque and throttle respose on your "Butt Dyno" there Mongo.

The last time I looked, Borla was closing the systems out for $315, which is better than half off of their original pricing.
x2 from 843de for the GMPP/Borla exhaust. Sounds awesome and no drone sound on the highway.

If you're gonna do any mods like exhaust, intake, etc, you're definitely gonna wanna invest in a tune. It will dial everything in and you would be surprised what these little ecotech's can do. Plus you're get better MPG

Not sure what all setups you tried, but With the ZZP 2.5" 400 cell catted downpipe, with a stock 2.4L cat back, the 2.2 sounds pretty good. Throaty, and louder than stock, but not super loud when you're just cruising.

Nope I did not try that.
I had a 22 inch 2 inch in 2 in out Porter muffler in place of the resonator, then 2 inch pipe over the rear axle to a 2 1/2 Magnaflow muffler, way to loud!
I had the stock 2.2 resonator and the 1 3/4 pipe over the axle then another Magnaflow 1 3/4 inlet 1 3/4 outlet, that was louder and ricey I M W O... In my wife's opinion.
Hey we had to share the car , so she got a vote ( the only vote mind you!)

CorvetteMongo. You sound like a SS driver . I own a 2.4 2lt panel, a tune and the K&N intake make it sound way better, but not much power increase. The only mod that will satisfy that need for speed is a SS. Luckily it is easy for find one......

Want more power...boost it. For a few hundred dollars you can get a canned tune from Trifecta and if you have an automatic I'd recommend doing this just for the increased shift firmness and redline increase. I've done intake, Trifecta tune, exhaust (2.5" pipe from the downpipe back...2nd cat delete...resonator delete...into a Magnaflow muffler). The only thing worth the money really was the tune.
