IMCO vs Magnaflow noise.....

.....I didn't see anything that addressed this specifically so I'll give it a shot. I had the IMCO on for almost 2 yrs, the "swedged" piece I had connecting the muffler to the pipe was rotting already (MA winters). Not wanting to go thru it again in 2 yrs, I found a good deal on a Magnaflow after reading "it wasn't too 'ricey' ".

All I can say is I hope this quiets down some. It's been 2 days, my wife (who drives it 95% of the time) came in this AM & said "that's loud!"

Anyone else do this system upgrade?

To the rest of the Magnaflow users, does it quiet down any?

Thanks for your re's in advance.

I been running my Magnaflow for a while now. It does seem to quiet down some over time but its never really quiet in the car. Adding sound deadener in the "trunk" (spare tire well) might help some with the noise. I have not tried it yet since I am waiting till I upgrade the stereo.

I have never heard of a muffler that got quieter..... I think you just get used to it.
