K&N Filters works well or not?
k&n
i have seen results of tests that show k&n filters do alot (or some , it depends what 1 considers alot) LESS filtering than most all other filters...in other words , i don't care to have any extra garbage in my engine , as i plan to keep it a while , if it were for racing only it might be different....i have not cosidered using anouther k&n since i read the test results...sorry , i do not have the link for that test..i thought i saw it on this site , but i am not sure of that...i like and trust napa gold filters , and found it to be better than the hhr oem.....i did finally break down and order a weapon r intake...it's in the mail...i decided on the weapon mostly because of price, i trust their tuning (somewhat) , i got a cold air kit and claening kit free , and hope that i can route a straighter path for the air(i kindof doubt that i can , but i could at least try)..... i think that all the aftermarket cais are overpriced , especially k&n ....but what isn't overpriced these days?

Aren't there posts in the this forum of people having their check engine light come on when they started using an oiled air filter like the k&n? Reading those posts are what prompted me to go with the GMPP intake. That and GMPartsDirect.com had it on sale for like $250 shipped.
