I bought an obx header from member monza679. He had the down pipe cut and a race cat installed. You may want to contact him with what cat he had installed in it. I am running it with no codes, but it has 2 non foulers to extend 2nd O2 sensor out of main pipe path. If you can keep the header there is a very big performance boost. With a shift plus I went from second gear chirps to a solid 3rd gear tire chirp. This is with hankook tires that are a whole lot better on traction than stock. I have no doubt the stock tires would have given rubber in all 4 gears with my simple mods.

Talking Exhaust finally on! And thanks Tooter!

Alright so the exhaust is on and it sounds fantastic! Nice low low tone, very happy with it! Now my question, I avoided the header install cuz it gets rid of the cat, but my buddy says he can cut the header and couple the cat on. 1. Is this worth it? 2. Would that help with the CEL woes? Also big props to Tooter for his leaking butyle tutorial! Did it last night in about two hours, thanks!

Great! Ill message him for sure, thanks! You are running the OBX Header with no cat? And have no code problems? Am I reading that right? Or have you coupled in a Cat?

No he had a cat installed. I am running a cat in the down pipe. It is a high flow one, I imagine it would still be throwing codes if not for these. http://www.energeticforum.com/renewa...n-foulers.html He had them installed before I bought. No codes. By the way no need to cut the header. Monza679 cut the down pipe where the fake cat is, put one in and welded back. Sound is about twice as loud with no rice.

OH with the high-flow cat and the non-foulers, passing emissions?

???????????????????????
I can only give hearsay of yes on cobaltss.net they run the same setup, the cobalt addiction header (same as obx) with no cat in down pipe and pass emissions on the 2.4 ecotec. There are no emission checks here so I haven't a clue.
Good luck.
