Less than 10,000 miles everything factory including the OIL.
The owner's manual recommends changing the oil at least once a year whether the DIC tells you to do so or not.

Overchanging you're oil certainly isn't going to hurt anything. It just costs more money.
Actually, more consumption and addition of waste oil into the environment costs a lot more than you'd think.

That isn't really what I was getting at. I was meaning that it wasn't going to hurt the engine at all. I wasn't going to get into the environmental part as important as that is.

I got around to changing my oil and filter yesterday after six months and 8000 miles (DIC said 39%). I used some Mobil 1. Not real hard, except the drain plug was most difficult to loosen. The car is high enough that I really don't have to use a jack to get at the drain plug. But I felt ambitous and decided to rotate tires. Once the car was up in the air and wheels off, I decided to clean the inside of the wheels then the wheel wells and the rocker panels. All nice and clean down there now.

Lots of work especially as the high in Florida (81) was off by one degree from the record high. Worked up a sweat. I thought it would be cooler too. I was whipped by the afternoon.

.

I think us "old retired guys" are the only vehicle owners that do that.

A little tip I learned from the GM show people......after cleaning very well, try using one of the polymer/vinyl floor polishes on the inner wells. It helps keep them cleaner longer, allows easier periodic cleaning and gives a new car appearance.
