They did use the 2.0 plus a couple other performance mods!

Gives us an idea of what's possible with the rumored SS!

Not sure if you are referring to this as the Hahn Racecraft Solstice, that I was referring to . This is NOT the same car. This car, I believe, is the one that was given away at the SEMA show. It was For Sale on the Solstice Forum, by the successful winner of the SEMA lottery.

Hahn's Solstice is a COMPLETELY stock 2.4 (except the turbo) as indicated in the text area.

Edit...Disregard my comments of it being the SEMA car, it's not. But it's not the Hahn Car either...different colors.

Just wanted to make it clear, that someone IS WORKING on the performance of a 2.4.

This came form the Hahn site that you gave the link for. There must be two on the site. The only one I could find which listed the engine size was the one I posted the specs for. They do talk about a stock 4 cyl. but I didn't find where they said it was a 2.4.

GDZHHR...don't know if I should use your name...I'm not doing this to argue..more of an issue of clarification. Because, again, I think it is important for people to know that the performance "geeks" are working on the 2.4.

Your post clearly says owned by other than Hahn Racecraft, uses cams, and other performance parts. Clearly not a stock engine. Also, as I said, it clearly is a different paint job.

My post in regard to the REAL Hahn Racecraft Solstice clearly says completely stock 4 cyl. Is owned by Hahn Racecraft, is a different color (again) than your pictures, has street tires. It would need to be the 2.4. Why would you buy a 2.0 which comes with a turbo and put another turbo on it??? Careful there's a "trap" here.

If i can find the rest of the info, I'll post it. I got the original "lead" from the Solstice forum and I understand several of the guys are running Hahns turbos on their street vehicles. One guy said, "Yeah, on occassion, I get a check engine light but it does not seem to interfer with drivability and goes away after a while". And, he's been driving with the turbo, for a while.

Snoopy the article GDZ has is reffering to Rhys Millen's D1GrandPrix car. For those that don't know this is the American Drift Circuit. Rhys Millen used to run a modified GTO and recently switched to the Turbo Soltice listed above.

Yeah, I know.

He's referencing and posting the wrong information for the car I'm talking about. Millens car is strickly a racing vehicle. Hahn junior's car is a Stage 2 or 3 street vehicle.

Check my referenced link. These guys talk cars!!! And, some have been running turbos for 6-10 months on their 2.4.

So, it goes back to my question from another thread.....Is the ECU engine management controls the same for the Solstice and HHR 2.4?? If it is, then somebody has the programming for the turbo. The next step would be to fab the necessary additional parts.

Get over it.

I found the artice on the site that YOU originally linked. After you posted again saying you were talking about another Solctise, I did say that they talked about another and the site said it was a stock motor but did not give the engine size. In your orginal post you admitted that you didn't know much about it so why make it a big deal if I posted the wrong stuff while it still IS related. It does come from the link you posted. At least I tried finding more info.

If you have such a problem with what I posted then why don't YOU post the correct information.

In any case, what I posted does show what can be done with an ecotec motor like the one rumored to be going into the HHR SS.

Peace, out!

Must be the holiday season that is getting people "touchy"...

Gdzhhr...

Listen I'm sorry if this is getting a little out of hand... I did explain, in the one post, I'm not trying to be argumentative. I just thought it was necessary and important, for the members who have 2.4's to know that people are doing things with that engine that other people are telling us can't be done. You and others know, that many more performance parts are available for the 2.0 and 2.2 than for the 2.4.

I know very little about turbo's and superchargers...and that was why I mentioned, "I know very little about this". I was referring to the thread
discussion, hoping to generate more discussion on the turbo versus... the supercharger post.

Anyway, I'm sorry I didn't thoroughly explain it. Don't take it personal.
