Timing Belt
I run Valvoline 5W30 MaxLife Full Synthetic Oil, and a Fram Ultra Synthetic Oil Filter on my 2007 HHR LT 2.4. I change my oil every 7500 miles, or when my oil life indicator reaches 10% or less. I have 17700+ on her, and she purrs like a kitten. The oil, although dark, is never sludgy or gritty, the Fram filter works very well!! And I can purchase them on Amazon for about 7.50. The Max Life Full Synthetic oil is about 23.00-25.00 at my local Wal-Mart
Oh, so far off topic that it's time to close it with these final words....
HHR's have timing chains on all engine variants. 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, and that's as simple as we can make it.
If you have questions on required maintenance, or required service intervals, and your owner's manual has gone missing. Please click the link below to download a FREE copy of the manual for your model year HHR.
