Adjustment of aftermarket headlights

Hi guys,

i drive a 2.4 Euro HHR with factory beam height control. Among other extras i installed Eibach lowering springs and black-chrome fall edition headlights for looks.

After installing the headlights i found out they are not adjustable through the beam height control, because the factory servos for the adjustment can't be attached on the backside.

Unfortunately these new headlights produce a massive glare for oncoming traffic, which might also be due to the new stance (with Eibachs).

Now everyone flashes their headlights at me at night, because they think i run highbeams all the time.

Is there any way to adjust the fall edition headlights manually, especially to lower the beam height?

Alternatively i might switch again to these black housing aftermarket headlights from DEPO but i assume they are more or less the same as the fall edition lights and also don't work with the automatic beam height adjustment.

Has anyone ever installed factory beam height adjustment servos into aftermarket headlights like these and how complicated is that?

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

Cheers,
RR

Open the hood and look at the backside of the headlight, there is an adjustment screw (only 1 though) for each side.

Wow - thanks! That pretty much solved my problem!

I'm still wondering though if i can somehow get the automatic height adjustment to work with the fall edition lights.
