How about somebody making a tilt hood kit for the HHR? This is pretty common on older trucks from the 50's that I have seen at shows. The hinge systems I have seen are pretty simple. I whipped up a photoshop to see what it could look like. I was even thinking of a side hinge like the 30's era cars & trucks. I would buy a kit, anyone else?

 

I like it and don't like it at the same time. I like the looks, but would hate to hate to work on it that way. With the grill incorporated with the hood open, it would have to swing way out to clear.

 

IF Jay would give me his hood, i would try to fab up a kit. OR a custom hood, with hood scoops.
