Bumper trim & script emblems on today
I don't know the difference between the italic script emblems and the straight up and down script- mine (italic script) was labeled 55-56 Chevy script and came from Ebay.
I looked at a lot of different ones and ultimately chose the one that spoke to me- it just felt right. As far as placement above or below the pinstripe, I looked at it both ways and again went with what looked best to me on my car. I must have looked at Holmes Hot Ride's above the stripe placement 100 times, and think it looks awesome on his car, but it just didn't look right on mine. I mean, I thought about it a lot!
But then if everyone did it the same way with the same exact emblem- well, where's the fun in that?

Cearbhail, Their is nothing wrong with how you put your script on. It looks great and like you said we all have different taste. It might sometime depend on how we are looking at things at that moment. It turned out great for both of us.
The more I see the script, the more I have to have it. On the dark silver it looks sooo good. Picked up my car tomorrow and can't wait to get started dressing it up. Shame my wife doesnt have the same desire :)
since the hood is sloped, i put the leaning script on the hood
on the back it is more up and down and so i put the vertical script on the back
nothing wrong w any of it,,, it is all about taste and what you the owner likes
i have had nothing but compliments on the scripting and from alot of vintage owners and owners of 55 and 57 chevys where the 2 different scripts are from,,, they love it and so do i

Once she sees the script in place she will get it
There's not been one person- car person, young person, old person- whatever, that has seen mine that doesn't comment on how cool that script is. And once you realize how it just so perfectly suits this car you have to do more.
She'll come around.

Yes thanks! I love your look!
Hot ride indeed!
You even gave it the " wiskers" and they look nice , real nice! Usually I see them on PTs and shake my head.......
I just got the real wide chrome for the bumpers. It has pinstripes of black near the edges. Now you make me think about "wiskers"
The wide stuff should look decent on our red HHR. I also see you have chromed the running boards the same way I and I belive Deb has. The HHR calls for chrome in certian colors. Definitly the black and red ones do.
