The trim I have seen at PB's looks like a coil that is slit the whole length. Then it appears as if it would slip over the edge of the wheel wells. If that is correct, where do you put the tape? On the paint side or the inside or both?
Sorry if that is a dumb question.

The trim has tape already on it and there are different sizes and types of trim. I used 3/4 for the whiskers and 1/8 for the trim. The tape I used was for the emblems.

I checked out your film loop--WOW--I love what you've done. Was the trim you used on the running board the same type as what I should use on the wheel wells? If so, what size was that and does it wrap around the edge as I am assuming it will on the wheel wells? I live in Pa. and was wondering also if the cold weather would affect the tape that is used to adhere the trims? Love the lites on the running boards as well. The whole package is very sharp.

Pam, I used 1/8 rope on the running boards. It does not wrap over the edge! I stuck one end then pulled it as a straight line then touched it to adhere. The only thing the cold does is make the trim brittle. Apply only in room temperature atmosphere! Thanks for the compliments on the ride.

Smile

Thanks for the info. I guess I will just compose my wish list and wait for Spring as I would like to do a bit of the moldings and don't have a heated garage.
Love seeing all these ideas from eveyone.
