thanx and back at ya!!!some stiff competition...here is what I meant by custom headliner..this is not as hard to do as it looks..any pattern any idea will work the same way...[IMG][/IMG]

Is there a way to stencil letters in the ceiling when using the dye?

i spent about 14 a yard on that suede. its not suede you'd wanna use on your seats where its going to be sat on alot, and i dont know how itll hold up in sun, but for the headliner, my upholstery guy uses it all the time. i did most of it myself, my upholstery guy helped me on the harder curves. not sure what a shop would charge you. to be honest, its not too hard.

the logo i just made out of 1/4" wood, wraped it in the lighter suede, and got short screws and screwed it to the headliner from the underside.

How about something that says "old style police package" like diamond pattern quilted black vinyl, or just plain gray vinyl.

Gee do you have any upholstery shops in your area, somebody who does the work on the local hot rods would be a great place to start. Its pretty old school stuff so maybe if you see somebody with a rat rod or '50's custom running around you could pick their brains.
