was accually looking at some hinges from an 80s Bonniville...the hinges lift first then flip the other way..our local fall swap meet has an autoloc guy there all the time..Ill compare the 2 and let ya know...(im still thinkin about goin fenders and all)..be much easier in the long run..

 

Aunt has one. This pic is not hers but similar, hers is baby blue-ish. You pop the hood, the front pops up slightly, pull the hood forward, it has two guide "claws" in the rear of hood towards firewall, after guides are out of slots, tilt hood forward. Car just died recently-think ignition/computer is shot. Only has (I think) 40,000 miles on it.
