HillsdaleHHR or ChevyMgr, do either of you know the cost of the led that goes in the light wash on the console?

I want to get a pair of these and wire them into the fog lights, and put them in the head lights. If I can get this to work, I will show you all.. :) PM if you want the deets.

Nothing special about the LED 1151, its a standard 5mm unit. You can pull it out and take it into Radio Shack and they can match it up for you, they probably also have a socket that pretty much matches the factory socket. A couple of folks here have changed the color of theirs by going the Radio Shack route, just trim the leads to the same length and pop it in the socket. Hope this helps.

 

Would I need one for mounting inside of my headlights? Or just silicone it in and wire it up?

 

Well they have LED holders available(see the attached pics), that will fit the 5mm LED's for $1.49 ea. You'd have to drill the headlamp reflector in order to use them. I guess it depends on the look you're going for, and how finished you want it to look. If you don't mind me asking, what are you going to use them for? Are you going for the euro look with LED running lights, or something else?
