Little light blue LED

I have gone through the manual for the HHR and I can not find any reference to this little light blue LED that is in the headliner in front of the mirror more or less shining on the stick shift. Also have not really noticed a pattern to when it is on or not. Can anyone tell me WTF it is/is for?

Wow Jim! I expected that from the Captain, not you! I have to admit, that light is one of the most useless factory items ever built in to a vehicle.

I figure that's where the antenna was originally going to go, but they screwed up the design, and couldn't figure out what to put there to plug the hole so they stuck an LED in there. Problem solved!

Don't pick on the Fiero. Those things kept guys like me busy for a long time. Not only did they seem to catch fire easily, that mag block made putting it out as much fun as a 4th of July display!
