No Captain, it wasn't aimed at anyone. It was a joke. Guess maybe I should add smilies. After the joke was a history lesson. Fieros have a fire reputation..period. It was a design flaw in the early 84s that was fixed before the end of the year run, but the rep stuck with it. Seriously, I love it that Fieros are so misunderstood. I can buy them cheap or often have them given to me!

Finales are nice. Since Archie took over production they are actually good quality too. I opted for a 355 Ferrari body with a built 3.4 TDC with turbo. It revs more like the real car than a small block would. With all of the internal mods and the turbo, I should be right at 500hp... about 130 more than a real 355.

Speaking of lights... Here are mine. My kit body uses many real Ferrari parts...

Nice! Seeing as how you know about Fieros there is one question I've always had about the Finale kit. Seeing as how it becomes a hatchback does it still retain the back window to seperate you from the engine compartment? That seems like it would be the logical way but I can't find a good photo to back up my assumption and I've never seen a Finale up close.

Yes, the stock rear window is retained. The rear hatch/window basically takes the place of the rear decklid as an engine cover. Gotta have a sweet looking engine since it is visible all the time. There is a guy who did a custom Finale who created a panel to go betweek the engine and the rear hatch so that the engine is not visible. It is still vented so the heat can escape from the engine and out the vents. He also change the taillights.

Actually, there was a guy a few months ago who had a partially finished Finale, complete with an L98 350, Archie install kit and tons of other goodies for $7500. The body kit alone is almost $5k so this is a great deal if he still has it. Don't know if you are interested at this time or not. Here is a site he created showing all the stuff he has. If you are interested I will see if it is still available. http://4bcj.com/finale/

I've seen your Chevelle... I wouldn't if I were you. Besides, decent Fieros are cheap. You don't have to sell anything just to get a Fiero. Now to get a Finale, that is a different story.

It uses a standard 5mm LED. I replaced mine today with a high intensity blue LED. All you have to do is pull down on the little cover in the roof and it will pop off. You will see the little LED holder. Pop it out and the factory white LED is in a little socket. Just pull the factory LED out of the socket, trim the new LEDs leads to match the length of the factory LED, and plug your new LED in the socket. It takes about two minutes. I love easy mods! Now my interior shines blue. Next up might be replacing the incandescent bulbs in the gauge clusted with blue LEDs. Sorry for the double post but I thought I should put in the appropriate thread also.

I bought mine from Radio Shack. But you can get them from a million sources. Once again it's just a standard 5mm LED.
