I know them well!! Nothing to love about them.

 

Clean, wax, and remove.

Repeat as necessary......

 

using a wet dryer sheet gets them off then wash car as usual works great here.

 

Recomend the 2 piece front Bra, Will take care of the Love Bugs.
It works great on our HHR.

 

I can't believe those bugs! I was in Florida last week. They are everywhere. Driving down the Turnpike we got caught in a cloud of the things. What a mess that makes of your car!

 

That's why I got the bra. Best 50 bucks I ever spent.

We had Japanese Beetles on Staten Island when I was a kid. They didn't look anything like that picture. They had a shell over their wings that was sort of a dark iridescent orange color, like "Sunburst Orange" but darker. You didn't see their wings 'til they flew away. They raised hell with my Mom's roses though.

 

I am hoping to have a 3M clear bra installed some time this summer.The lovebugs around here get really bad in September and those stinking things have corrosive guts that can actually eat through paint.I wish they would stay in Florida but if we have southerly winds that time of year,I have seen them as far north as Montgomery.Can't y'all down there in Florida do something about those things? By the way...I found some stuff that works great for getting the smashed bugs off of your car.It's called "Purple Power Bug Wash and Wax".If you can find it at Advance Auto,you had better buy two,because it does not stay on the shelf for long.And the reason the lovebugs are around highways...they are attracted to exhaust fumes.

 

Where can I find a clear bra? I have so many chips from rocks that I think I need better protection up front. A clear bra wouldn't take stand out like the black ones do.

BTW, I use Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover with great results. It works on both the metal and plastic surfaces.

 

My sister drives a full size GMC conversion van. A bra for that would need to be at least a 58 FF.
