Love Bugs / hood protection
We had Japanese Beetles on Staten Island when I was a kid. They didn't look anything like that picture.
I am hoping to have a 3M clear bra installed some time this summer. The lovebugs around here get really bad in September and those stinking things have corrosive guts that can actually eat through paint.I wish they would stay in Florida but if we have southerly winds that time of year,I have seen them as far north as Montgomery. Can't y'all down there in Florida do something about those things?
By the way...I found some stuff that works great for getting the smashed bugs off of your car. It's called "Purple Power Bug Wash and Wax".If you can find it at Advance Auto, you had better buy two, because it does not stay on the shelf for long.
And the reason the lovebugs are around highways...they are attracted to exhaust fumes.
