BTW, I use Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover with great results. It works on both the metal and plastic surfaces.
Do a Google search for 3M paint protection and you should find the 3M site that can tell you where a certified installer is near you.It may cost a little more than doing it yourself with a ebay kit...but you get a warrenty that way and it would be done better than I could. I'll try to post a link if I find the site again. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...ind_Installer/

Yall read my mind

I was on my way home yesterday from W. Palm Beach and got nailed by a swarm. I was so ticked. I was going to see if anyone else had ideas on how to keep them off my car. I thought about the 3M shield but didn't know where to find them. I sure wish someone would come up with a way to kill these buggers...

Try squirting them with a hose to separate them....it works on dogs.

You guys think those bugs are bad, try being in San Antonio in October...I was there last October and had a rental HHR. Evidently there is a moth down there called the Bullnose or snout or something like that. That time of year there seems to be 100's of thousands of the suckers floating around..the front end of the HHR was plastered in yellow guts and I mean plastered!

Couldn't even have the windows down there were so many of them

Clear Bra

I just installed a clear bra, not easy, came out pretty well.
Not easy
One thing, any existing dings/chips will leave an indent where the film won`t fill. (Look right above the 'C' in chev, on the top pic, thats the worst one)

Hey BB, let us know how long the 3M bra lasts. Will cleaning it cause it to yellow or get thin? You know you'll still have to get the bugs off it!

I have lots of chips up there and thought that clear bra would keep them from getting worse or from getting any more. But I'll wait to see how yours performs. Thanks for being the guinea pig!

That sounds like a long term scenerio, how would the results help you, after 2-3 yrs of waiting?
You`d be getting dings/chips all through the process.
