Just go to your local parts store and pick out a set you like. I'd run with them a couple days before gluing to see whay height adjustment, if any, you need to make. Then glue them in.

With mine, I found they wer good with no cutting. Plus it left enough to grap if for some reason you loose power.

thanks for the welcome! is this a risky install? cutting down the existing ones and reusing them? does anyone know how to remove the door panel?

Door panel does not need to come off for stubby locks.

No need to remove the door panel for this. Just roll down your window and unlock the locks. I don't know anything about cutting down the stock. I'd say go to you local parts store and pick up a set you like. I'd try them first without cutting, the smooties I got were fine w/o cutting. You can always cut later, but once you cut, your comitted.
