Looks nice. Any idea on subs yet? I used to do Audio and Love Monster Custom Systems.

I already have all my stuff here. I bought two Polk 10" subs, 6 1/2 components up front and 5x7" in the back doors. Since this is my DD I plan on leaving the factory grills on the doors. Although the tweeters seem a little larger then the stock set I think I can still use the stock grill on those too. I have a thousand watt kicker amp, and a double din head-unit.

What brand sound deadener did you use?

How much did you use, and what was the price?

Notice any significant gain in frequency response?

Also, what rms is everything?

Frequency range of the sub?

What rms is the amp? Is it a mono amp? Sub sonic filter?

Youre kind of just spouting buzzwords :p

On your doors I noticed you only did the exterior metal, are you going to seal off the front of the mids from the rear sound waves?

Been CRAZY busy (big update)

So, I know I have not updated this in quite a while. Between work, friends and not having all of my own tools I have only really had about an hour a night to work on my car. Currently I'm working on reassembling my car, only the front seat and some trim pieces needs to go back in. I don't have many pictures documenting my builds since I was more concerned with to finish the build.

As for the specs and questions:
  • I used Megamat brand sound deader
  • I did seal the doors back up by using foam-board from the local craft store (1/8 inch foam with paper on both sides) with another layer of megamat over top of that.
  • I installed a Crazy Steve/Genuine Saab Intercooler and a Clear Image Automotive hot-side pipe.
  • A ZZP catless down pipe was thrown on long ago but I forgot to mention that orgignally.
  • I also shaved the FM antenna on the roof but have yet to finish the sanding and paint.
  • The Speakers are all Polk db series. Components up front, 5x7" coaxial in the rear doors, and two 10" SVC Sub woofers in the back.
  • The 5 Channel Amp I used was a Kicker 11 IX1000.5 Its powering all the speakers and both subs sofar without any issue.
  • The hardest thing for me to choose was the headunit. I finally decided on a JVC KW-R900BT, because I wanted a double-din head unit without a touchscreen. I have had issues with touch screens in the past and aftermarket "pockets" that are left by single din units look to "blah" for me. I also choose to hook up all the nice little accessories to allow me to keep my Onstar, steering wheel controls, etc etc...
As for the subwoofer location... I did end up mounting them where I wanted, but fiberglass wasn't being to cooperative for my friend and I so I had a shop professionally make a custom set up and cover it with vinyl.

I'm very happy so far with how things are turning out.... but I'm not done yet! I want to to do a few more mods before starting school this August. I have plans for some tasteful use of LED's. I want to use a factory window switch for a panel HHR to control the LEDs on/off. (BTW if you happen to know the part number for that let me know!) I'm also designing a custom intake to run out to the passenger fog light but I haven't got around to finishing it yet. Once that is complete and installed it will be time for a tune. I'm really trying to work towards building a "style" car not a race car. So the Intake is just to clean up room in the engine bay a little. I'm not sure if I'll ever spring for rims and tires since I would have no where to store them. Well.... I guess it's time for why you're really here... PICTURES!
