That is not the post you quoted when you nearly got banned for language, that I edited out.

And that quote was aimed at "anyone".

We have learned to not assume that anybody did the first logical step unless they specifically state it. You wouldn't believe how many threads go for 3 pages before we find out they didn't know cars have fuses.

Just reading the manual does not mean you understand it.

Maybe you could answer some of the questions you've been asked.
Is there 12 volts at the radio power source ?
What's up with that plugged up antenna recepticle ?
And a few others you were asked.

There is nothing plugging the hole in the radio it was just a bad pic. I don't have a voltage meter so I don't know the answer to the other question. My plan is to get one tonight or tomorrow and I will check.

ok so before I buy this radio adapter for the chime so i can install my aftermarket radio i just wanted to make sure i was doing the right thing. i do not have a subwoofer i checked the space back there by the spare tire /hatchback area. and i did not see a chime box when i took the old radio out now so my question is why do i need this part to put in a aftermarket radio?

The factory equipped radio has that function built-in. Aftermarket radios do not.

I can see why your confused, if your HHR didn’t have clicks and chimes since you bought it. That could indicate that your door speakers are shot, if they fail from moisture problems, no chimes or clicks from the OEM radio.
