Flash drive that doesn't work with the stereo

For some reason out of 4 different brands of flash drives, the only one that doesn't work with the stereo is a Toshiba 8 GB that I got at Sam's Club. No matter how it was formatted or how the files were loaded, it would not work with the stereo in the car. (2010 HHR LT1 with $100 upgraded system)

Other than that, it works great everywhere else.

Ones that work with the car:

San Disk Cruzer 4GB
PNY 8 GB (dinky little thing)
Kingston Data Traveler (various sizes)

I have the SanDisk 4GB and no problems with it. Used the ipod hookup (3.5mm jack) today and it works well, too.

My 16GB Pico flash drive works great. Is super small and black. I leave it in all the time. Safer than leaving your iPod.

I wish I had the USB input on my 06. I have had that on my other cars with aftermarket stereo but I like to have the steering wheel control buttons so for now I am keeping the OEM stereo.
