Now, take that 2.83v, and apply Ohm's Law:
P=E^2 / R
P is power
E is voltage
R is resistance
P= 2.83^2 /4
P= 2 Watts
The gimmick is that 1w can still be derived from 2.83v, if you're using an 8 ohm resistance. However...most car subwoofers use 4 ohm coils- which would put the input power at 2 watts, as opposed to 1 :)

Im not keeping the faceplate on i just have it on to show you how it looks still waiting for the blue and black one ( since my HHR is blue).
