HD Radio

Hello all,

I have a 2011 HHR. It has the factory Pioneer stereo setup, with factory Onstar, Bluetooth and steering wheel controls.

I want the HHR to be HD radio capable. So far as I know, the only way to do this is to replace the head unit. Replacing the HU brings up another set of issues for me, as I want to retain the factory Onstar, Bluetooth and steering wheel controls.

I've consulted with Crutchfield, but wanted to see if anyone out there has installed anything like this, and how it's all working for you currently.

So, has anyone added HD Radio to their HHR, and retained Onstar, Bluetooth and the steering wheel controls?

Matt

I did not know there still was HD radio! All of the stations around D.C./Baltimore/Richmond shut down or stopped advertising their existence.

I always thought that HD radio was an add-on like the Sirius/XM after market units that connect to your HU via Blue Tooth or wire.
