iPhone Siri and Stock Radio + New Head Unit Suggestions

I have a 2009 LT without bluetooth (thinking about adding it, for the right price) and am having problems with Siri. When I activate Siri, she listens for a few seconds before auto-dismissing like I never said anything.

Was wondering if anyone else had issues.

My girlfriend has a 2012 Chevy Traverse with Bluetooth, and Siri works fine for her.

Also, I'm open to suggestions for a new head unit. Looking for a Double-Din, with touch screen. I'm considering a Pioneer AVH P3400BH. Personally I'm an Alpine person, but they don't make many touch screen units in my price range.

find a used one, or go Chinese. I don't know if siri works or not, can you tell her a song title and she gets it going ?

I never thought of looking used. Can you recommend a good place to look, besides craigslist? Btw, what unit is that?

When not plugged into the stereo Siri will do anything I tell her. I'm pretty sure you can have her play a song, but I've never done it. I usually tell her to find directions for me, or use her to send/read text messages.
