The CS is a line level driver, it increases and sums the signal from you stock Head Unit so that you do not have to turn up the gains on your amp to compensate for a low signal. This prevents amp distortion. This unit works very well, but the down side is that it has it's own master volume. You would set the HU's volume using a set up disc. After that is done, the CS's master volume would be used as your main volume control. If someone accidently moves the old volume control you would have to go through the set up sequence again, kind of a pain in the A. Also, you have a seperate added control to mount somewhere on the dash.

I would suggest looking at Audiocontrol's Linedriver, they are great and only use your existing volume control.

Or take the $300 - $400 that these devices cost and get a better after market head unit, they sound way better and and have some additional features that are of use!
